Relationships. Change. Life.
Welcome! Letting a therapist in on the difficulty in your life can be vulnerable and scary. I strive to create a safe place for clients to explore themselves and to find a new way of being that feels deeply authentic and connected. My therapeutic approach is to be collaborative, sensitive, sometimes silly, and always genuine.
I enjoy working with all kinds of couples and individuals. I work with a lot of folks who have experienced trauma and are looking to find a sense of healing. I enjoy working with couples and polycules who are looking to strengthen their bond and work on things like communication, intimacy, and conflict. I am also passionate about serving LGBTQ+ clients of all kinds in my practice.
I use a trauma-informed approach and work with folks experiencing things such as PTSD, couple conflict, anxiety, LGBTQ+ identity development, gender dysphoria, becoming ENM/polyamorous, interracial/intercultural relationships, separation/divorce, co-parenting difficulties, parenting stress, and blended family issues. I also offer assessments for letters in support of gender-affirming medical care for adults and adolescents; I usually complete these in 1-2 sessions.
I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, EFT for individuals (EFIT--inner child work), and in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
In my free time you can find me biking around St. Paul, plucking on my ukulele, and playing with my kiddos.
