I am a graduate-level intern working toward my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with individuals, couples and families as they embark on self-exploration and examine the relational dynamics and patterns that impact their lives. I believe this knowledge is vital to healing, and leads to more fulfilling connections with ourselves and each other.

Finding a new therapist, whether you’ve been in therapy before or if this is your first time, can feel daunting and vulnerable. I take this to heart, and strive to create a nonjudgmental and warm space for you to explore all parts of yourself. In addition, creating a culturally sensitive, affirming and shame-free environment is important to me so that all feel welcome and safe. My special areas of interest include medical trauma, burnout, compassion fatigue, navigating coparenting and blended families, life transitions, and couples therapy. My work is rooted in empathy and curiosity, and influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment theory, and other systemic modalities.

Becoming a therapist is a second career for me. I grew up in Connecticut in a blended family and moved to Minnesota to attend St. Olaf College where I got my bachelor’s in Nursing. I have been a registered nurse for 10 years with the bulk of my nursing experience being in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. While working in this setting, I became aware of the profound impact that medical trauma has on the well being of healthcare workers, patients and family members. Supporting families as they navigated some of their hardest moments has inspired me to help others on their healing journeys in a new way.

Outside of the office, I love to travel, spend quality time with friends and family, cook new recipes, and explore new restaurants and coffee shops in the Twin Cities.
