Relationships. Change. Life.
Hey! My name is Brooke. I am a trans-masculine gardener, artist, and pre-licensed marriage and family therapist.
While my title includes the word marriage, my work thrives in non-traditional relational systems such as non-monogamy, relationship anarchy, co-parenting, etc. I love working with LGBTQIA+ folx: children ages 9 and up, teens, parents, and families. I aim to provide inclusive and affirming care for all people, and within that approach I have most experience in supporting those with neurodiverse identities, those seeking medical transition support at any age, adoption/family building, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD/C-PTSD), non-suicidal self-harm, suicidal ideation, estrangement, and any history of trauma within the individual and/or family.
Every person and family needs support that is tailored to their therapeutic goals. I draw from de-colonized, trauma-informed, somatic, and intersectional approaches to create therapeutic structure. We can utilize interventions such as, but not limited to, sensorimotor regulation, radical acceptance, inner child work, and practicing new ways to safely communicate emotions. My goal is to get to know not just you but the family, societal, and historical contexts within which you live.
My background is in family science research as well as family therapy. If applicable, I will integrate current knowledge on the neurophysiology of trauma and neurodiversity, as well as the impact that systemic oppression has on the mental and physical health of people from systemically marginalized communities. By centering growth and curiosity in the pursuit of staying up-to-date on family sciences, I hope to provide meaningful support through all life and family stressors.
